This litany honors women of scripture, many of whom don't even have a mention in our 3-year lectionary cycle of readings. Here, I try to evoke a sense of antiquity, using modes that were around long before the major and minor tonalities more common to our modern ears. I hope this helps create a sense of timelessness.
